Gianluca Cogoni started
studying the organ in 1992 at the age of 12 with the Pirri Cdmi Music School
association section.
Since 1996 he’s played as an
organist in various manifestations and concerts on a national and
international level.
He participated in 5
Election Week-ends in various theatres and auditoriums and in 4 Organ Galas,
of which three where at the Cagliari lyrical theatre.
Many of his performances
have been included in various CDs and DVDs, the sale of which has
contributed to sustaining different meritorious voluntary associations
operating in Sardinia, such as the Langione Foundation for Talassemia, the
Mondo X community and the Italian League against Tumours.

He attended the Pacinotti
scientific lyceum of Cagliari where he passed his GCE A levels in the year
2000.
From 1999 to 2002 he
attended the Experimental Composition course at the Pierluigi da Palestrina
Conservatory in Cagliari under the guidance of Maestro Gianluigi Mattietti.
In May 2003 he won first
prize in the Advanced Seniors category at the International Music Festival
which was performed in Laguna, Tenerife.
In May 2004 he was a guest
at the ‘Organissimo’ Festival in Palencia, Spain. He has already been chosen
as a representative of the Association for the next “Organ Gala 2005”
